GSHe stabilitay?

Xinsheng G asked:

Could anyone tell me the stability of GSH and GSHe (Glutathione ester)? I mean if they are still stable at 50 C for 5~9 hours.

Glutathione

I did not get the exact data but the peferred temperature for the storage of GSH is -80oC. At -20oC you would have lost about 20% of the sample after 28days. At room temperature, you would have lost atleast 75% of your sample after 28days. To your question, at 50oC they are definitely not stable but you would have lost only a small amount (IN 5-9 HOURS), the body ofcourse replaces lost ones, Glutathione is not an essential nutrient since it can be synthesized from the amino acids L-cysteine, L-glutamate and glycine.
